Review: Role Models (2008)

Kind of an average movie. Role Models is about Danny (Paul Rudd) and Wheeler (Seann William Scott) who are energy drink (Minotaur) reps who has to do 150 hours of community service for bad behavior, which will change their lives forever. Watch out for the cool Minotaur truck. LAIRE (Live Action Interactive Role-playing Experience) is something we can all do ;) story has a big part in it.

Review: Transporter 3 (2008)

I always loved the first two transporter movies. This one is much better than those two. Awesome car stunts and pursuits. Lot more action, fighting scenes and Audi cars (Like a Audi advertisement). Surprisingly there is a BMX bike stunt scene also. This time Frank Martin (Jason Statham) has to deliver his package with a bomb strap in his hand that explode if he move too far from his car. Good action movie.

Review: Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (2008)

Man this movie is so cute and funny. I don't know why I didn't watch the first film.
I love the penguins. The story continues from the last film as the Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo crash land in Africa.
Animation was amazing, neatly done. I'm sure anyone will love this film specially kids.

Review: Zack and Miri Make a Porno (2008)

Wow great movie. I laughed my tears out watching this movie. This must be the best movie I saw of Seth Rogen. The story is about two (Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks) lifelong friends who are so broke they cannot even pay their bills, They decided to make a porno movie. They soon find out that they have something more than a friendship. Do watch out for some more fun scenes when credits are displayed at the end. (Warning: there are nudity scenes in the film)

Review: Appaloosa (2008)

I can say that film is over rated. Acting was great by Ed Harris (Marshal) and Viggo Mortensen (Deputy). Film was bit slow paced and was a typical wild western film, It also contain some romance. The story is about two men hired to marshal a town which is out of control because of a rancher who try to make his own laws. The two marshals are pulled in to more complication after arrival of Renée Zellweger (Allie French) who show lot of affection to Marshal. I expected more duel gun fight in a wild wild west story.

Review: Ip Man (2008)

Fantastic Kung-fu movie, One of the best after Kung Fu Hustler. The movie is about Yip Man who was the first to teach the Chinese martial art of Wing Chun publicly.
Ip man was the master of the great Bruce Lee. This is not a complete biography. Very realistic fighting scenes which you cannot see in present action films. Recommended for everyone.

Review: Soul Men (2008)

Very good film. I Laughed all the way to the end. Film starring Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac, excellent performance by them. The story is about two soul-singing legends trying to make a reunion performance after 20 years. Nice to see Samuel L. Jackson in film like this. Soul Men also has some nice music to shake your hips around. (Warned: there are some nudity scenes)

Review: The Tale of Despereaux (2008)

The film is great for kids, very good family movie. The story is based on a book that is written by Kate DiCamillo. The Tale of Despereaux is strange story about a Mouse, Rat and a Servant girl who's lives come together for an great adventure. I didn't enjoy it much, the story is too childish but It has excellent animation.

Review: Doubt (2008)

The movie Doubt is a very sensitive story about the church. You rarely see a film touching child abusing subject with the church. The story is about a nun (Meryl Streep) who is suspecting a priest (Philip Seymour Hoffman) of abusing a black student which the priest strongly rejects.

I have seen a documentary about the Operation Valkyrie in National Geographic channel. It was far better than the film.
Tom Cruise is doing a good job in the film, The film is based on true events of 20th July (1944) a failed attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler.

Review: Ghost Town (2008)

I expected more from this film. I have seen the same plot in many movies so it had a negative effect on the humor for me. Ghost Town is a story about a guy who can talk to ghosts. Nice movie with ironic humor and romance.

Che Part One is an excellent film. Excellent role playing by Benicio Del Toro (Che).
I haven't read any books about che. but this film is a excellent Biography of him.
Che is one of the most influential people in the world (Top 100).
This film is a must for any che lover. Looking forward to watch the Part 2.

Review: The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008)

It's a film about an Alien (Keanu Reeves) who is trying to wipe out the human race using his Robot because humans are destroying the Earth. The Day the Earth Stood Still is a remake of 1951 film. The story is not a unique one, I have seen the same plot before. Performance by the actors are acceptable. There is not much action involved other than few fighting scenes with the robot. Story can be followed to the end without getting bored.

Review: Punisher War Zone (2008)

Punisher: War Zone is a must for any Action film lover. Much better than first Punisher movie. You can enjoy the movie from the beginning to the end. Lot of crazy killings, blood and violence. Very good effects and fighting scenes. Story goes around fighting between Jigsaw and Punisher. Not much of a story to follow, Just follow the Action ;-)

Review: Twilight (2008)

Twilight is not totally what I wished for.
Cannot say the film is bad. A totally new definition for the vampires.
Nice romantic vampire story which I never seen before Yet the plot is not very unique. I expected much more action in the film. By judging the ending we can predict that Twilight 2 will be coming out soon.

Review: Disaster Movie (2008)

The Scary Movie 1 and 2 are the best MOVIE series films I loved.
Disaster Movie is not that bad but not extreamly funny either. You can enjoy the film if you have watched 10,000 BC, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Wanted, DIVAs, High School Musical, Hancock, Sex and City, Don't Mess With Zohan, Jumper, The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian, Step Up, Iorn Man, Hell Boy, Hulk, Alvin and the Chipmunks, BatMan, Night At the Museum, Beowulf, Kungfu Panda and Love Guru. I may have missed some.
I feel like MOVIE films are loosing their touch for good comedy.

Review: Underworld Rise of the Lycans (2009)

Underworld Rise of the Lycans is the 3rd part of the underworld movie series. The film takes us back to early stages when Lycans were first produced by the vampire lord Victor. They could have continued from where they last stopped but for my disappointment the story is set in very early days.
Overall experience is great with excellent effects.
